This weekend I finally watched Gone With the Wind, a movie I’d been meaning to watch for years. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it was long and Scarlett was such a bitch. Seriously, she had zero redeeming qualities (unless you count that she really loved Tara?).
Last night I watched The Lives of Others, which is an excellent German film from 2006 that was released earlier this year in the U.S. I highly recommend it.
yay! yay! yay!!! i LOOOOOVE that movie! it SO earned its oscar, didn’t it? sadly enough, the actor who played the Stasi dude (Ulrich Mühe) died last month. i haven’t been this touched by an actor’s death in a very long time! glad you liked the film. sometimes we germans succeed in doing some pretty cool stuff! movie-wise.
especially the pictures that deal with our past (WW II, and post WW II, the 2 germanies) are quite decent.
also, i miss you nick!
