I originally started out this post complaining about how this summer has been basically crappy and I haven’t done a whole lot of Fun Things, but then I rememememembered that there’s way too much complaining on the internet already, so instead this post is going to be about music.

This spring/summer has yielded a ton of great remixes and a bunch of great albums (check out Justice’s † (aka “Cross”) if you haven’t yet as well as the very excellent Our Love to Admire by Interpol). My absolute favorite discoveries, though, have been remixes that completely blow their mediocre sources out of the water. Here are two that have kept my booty shaking in the privacy of my apartment while I’m cleaning or doing dishes:

Fergie - Glamorous (Treasure Fingers Remix)
Bloc Party - I Still Remember (SebastiAn Remix)

I know what you’re thinking—”Did Dusty just post a Fergie tune???” It’s crazy, I know, but trust me on this. Also, I realize that these are probably old news for anyone who follows music blogs, but I needed to share them with everyone else, because they are so dang good.
