(over the weekend)

Not completely true, actually! I bought a disco ball. Not a real disco ball, but more of a spinning light ball (like this, only larger and AC-powered). Andy tipped me off that there was one in the clearance aisle at WalMart, and I rushed over 24 hours later and BOUGHT THAT SUCKA. After I put the remainder of my groceries away I opened the packaging and realized why it was on clearance: the tabs that attach the ball to the spinny light base were broken. A few twisty ties and it is (temporarily) as good as new. I am currently brainstorming a more permanent fix.

I also watched a few movies, including Wizard People, Dear Reader (for the 11th time!) with Ashley and The Science of Sleep (alone!). I did not care for TSoS. It was aggravating and Gael García Bernal’s character was annoying. For some reason I have been finding myself having less and less patience for arty people who act irrationally (”you do not understand me!” a bloo bloo bloo). I think I know why I feel this way, but I will not delve into that today.

In other news, Verizon is being a huge pain in my ass. Why can’t a fella just threaten to cancel his account and get a discount without all this hullabaloo? That is what I would like to know. That is what I will ask them when I call after work today.

Living alone is great! and lonely! and causing me to leave things unfinished because there is no one else to complain that half of the clean dishes are still not put away and that there is a pile of empty plastic grocery bags that need to be rolled up and saved or gathered up and thrown away. Just do something with them, for crap’s sake.

Also, I have been playing Xbox again for the first time in a long time. Red Dead Revolver is currently the game of choice. I need to stop wasting my time with it.
